New Video: Supernatural Thing

Delighted to announce my newest music video, “Supernatural Thing”.

Video directed by Pascal Nazzaro.

We filmed in the South of France and at Shelter Island Sound, the same studio where we recorded Supernatural Thing. All the outstanding musicians on the record are in the video with me: Eluriel “Tinker” Barfield (bass), Bernard “Pocket” Davis (drums), Bashiri Johnson (percussion), Ann Klein (guitar) and Alfa Anderson, Keith Fluitt, Valerie Ghent on backing vocals.

The South of France is one of the most supernatural places on Earth, I hope you agree!

In fact, can you guess WHERE in the South of France we filmed? Share where you think it is in the comments below or on YouTube!

ENJOY!

Special thanks to Fredy Mfuko, Steve Addabbo, Will Szent-Miklosy, Pierre Sibille & BluesUP (France).

I love this version of the song! Coincidentally, I happen to be the drummer on the original version of the song by Ben E. King back in the 70s! I’m very pleased to hear an updated version of the song. I’m sure the Producer/Arranger Bert Decoteaux of the original version would approve!!! 😉 Good Luck to Linda on this new video!! She’s HOT!!! 😉

    Hi, Valerie.

Your version of “Supernatural Thing” made me break out in little bitty green spots AGAIN. EEEeeeeee!

Thank you for having covered my song! You get my vote as well as the vote which I am sure my co-writer Gwen Guthrie would have given you.

The original version’s drummer, Jimmie Young, checked in with you already. Although Jimmie and I are in contact with each other after 40 years, I PROMISE we did not plan the comments on this page.
One more coincidence: I met Bashiri during my days of walking NYC’s streets armed with my songwriting pencil and my P-Bass. He always said he was “A comer.” I am glad he made it to you to do this cover!

Now we three combine our energies from all over the globe to wish you the best of success with your FUN VERSION fun version (I love your King-esque cover photo!) of Supernatural.

From the depths of my heart, I thank you again.
    Haras
