Solar-Powered Songwriter’s Beat at Make Music NY 2012

So excited about our June 21st solar-powered Songwriter’s Beat concert at Make Music NY!

The city-wide musical extravaganza of Make Music NY is held on the summer solstice each year and was inspired by France’s annual Fête de la Musique, held on the same day, to offer free music in public spaces.

Songwriter’s Beat coincides this year with MMNY, so we are hosting a 4-hour, solar-powered concert in Washington Square Park. Solar Punch will bring their own solar-powered sound system – check their website for details on how the solar-powered sound system works – it’s super-cool!

Featuring Marla Mase, Valerie Ghent, Ann Klein, Deborah Berg, Solar Punch, Lucy Foley Band, Hope Machine and Roshni, we’ll be playing from 12pm-4pm, in celebration of MUSIC and of the summer solstice!

JOIN US! It’s promising to be a scorcher, so bring plenty of sunscreen, water pistols, parasols, iced drinks, slurpies, whatever keeps you cool – and enjoy the MUSIC!
