Happy birthday in music heaven to my mother, Natasha Ghent. I love and miss you Mom, you are always in my heart ❤️

This photo of my mother is a miracle - swipe to compare with the original! Last year in the height of covid lockdowns, completely out of the blue I received this beautifully restored and colourized photo of my mother, just a few weeks after her birthday. At the time I was working on my mother's piece "The Angel" and thinking of her every day, and here out of the blue she appeared, a beautiful Angel, as if to say everything would be ok. As soon as I saw it I began to cry - someone I didn't know had taken the time to restore her photo and colourize it for me. A gift I don't have words for, he captured the blue of her eyes and the delicacy of her hair perfectly. So today, in my mother’s honor and on her birthday, I want to thank Benjamin Lopez at @lovedonesforever for his talent, gift and for bringing new life to her black and white photo, plus his mission of "fighting back on mental health and depression", a mission which grows more important every day and is a cause I support wholeheartedly. looking at my mother's photo, it’s as though the decades fall away, I am filled with love all over again and grateful for the miracle and kindness of people who bring love and joy to others.
